Headlines Update/Changes

Urban Self Defense classes. San Gabriel Valley Jeet Kune Do.
Trial class starting February 5th at 7:30pm the cost is only $10 per person 

Boot Camp schedule change.Starting Jan.5th the Monday and Wed. 4pm class will change to Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm.

Effective January 5th. All new 24 session Boot Camp packages will have a 75 day expiration.

Urban Self Defense.  

February 5th at 7:30pm NO EXCUSES FITNESS will be hosting a self defense class. This class is great for anyone who is interested in learning quick and effective self defence techniques  The class will be instructed by,
Nhan-Esteban Khuong, L.Ac.
Nhan is a licensed Acupuncturist, certified Personal Fitness Trainer, and professional martial artist with over 20 years experience in the fighting arts.

Descending from legitimate Jeet Kune Do lineages, Nhan has been teaching JKD professionally as a certified instructor since 2005. His background in the martial arts also includes Boxing, Kickboxing, Tang Soo Do, Ground Fighting, Submission Wrestling, MMA ( Mixed Martial Arts ), Muay Thai Kickboxing, Kung Fu, and more.

Happy New Year! Enough Excuses... time to get in shape.

Starting Saturday January 10, 2009 No Excuses Fitness will have INDOOR BOOT CAMP orientation classes. Four half hour  classes all starting at 11:30am and ending at 12pm 

If you have been thinking about getting back in shape but you are not sure about your fitness level, this class will introduce our program with easy progressions and modifications for ALL of the exercises performed in the class.

Class capacity is 12 people, the cost for 4 sessions is $40

This is our seventh No Excuses Fitness Indoor Boot Camp Challenge starting January 26, 2009 at 6:00 am and ending March 7, 2009. For those of you who are not familiar with the program here is a quick introduction. No Excuses Fitness, Indoor Boot Camp challenge is approximately a six week program, consisting of 36 sessions. The class will be held Monday – Friday at 6 am, Special bonus; Saturday classes will also be available for Indoor Boot Camp challengers at 7:30 am and 10:30 am.

Back Extension / Down Dawg
Start this exercise in a push-up position. Very slowly lower your hips / Pelvic bone toward the floor, hold for 2-3 second and raise to a Down Dawg, make sure your legs are straight, palms flat and your heels touching the ground, hold for 2-3 seconds. Perform this exercise 10-15 repetitions. Do not attempt this exercise if you feel pain in your lower back.
